Network rack as a part of surveillance system

I live in a big mansion at the borders of my town with my wife and three children. Some time ago I decided to increase the security measure in the place where I live and I bought the newest surveillance system. The whole stuff was not cheap but now I can feel more secure than I was before. Fourteen cameras are recording everything that is happening inside and outside the mansion and the whole system is operated by only one man who sits in a specially designed room. The room itself is not so small at all. We needed to use a lot of space to fit monitors, computers and the network rack into the room. The whole equipment was brought to us by a large lorry truck and the installation of everything took over a week. As I mentioned before we have a big network rack inside the surveillance room that was needed to storage all hard drives in one place. Thanks to that we keep all the recorded files at the hard drives in a safe place and are not afraid that something will happen to them. As I said before the whole system was expensive but we really feel better having all this security equipment all around us. I think that the times we live in are forcing us to protect from any kind of crimes and the surveillance system is one of the ways. I count no money if it is about the safety of my wife and kids.
